Whether you're navigating parenting challenges, childhood behavioral concerns, or teen emotional struggles, our family therapy sessions support the whole family system. We work with children, youth, and their caregivers together—strengthening communication, building trust, and creating healthier relationships at home.

Group
Therapy

Whether it’s a professional athletic team working to improve communication, individuals recovering from substance use, or motor vehicle accident survivors seeking collective healing—group therapy offers a powerful space for connection, understanding, and growth. Shared experiences become a foundation for support, resilience, and meaningful change.

Coaching

Coaching is for clients who are ready to ask, "How can I do better?" or "What do I need to feel better?" You’ll still have space to be heard, but we’ll focus on action. Think of it as coach and player — we’ll work together to sharpen your Plan BE and build the skills you need to feel and function at your best. I’m here to help you get better at whatever you want to get better at.

Therapy Sessions
My Approach

At Plan BE, we believe that when life doesn’t go according to Plan A, it doesn’t mean the story is over — it simply means it’s time to discover a different path. We help people find their Plan B: a way forward rooted not in pressure or perfection, but in resilience, self-acceptance, and growth. Our approach combines positive psychology and coaching-based therapy to help adults and students navigate stress, anxiety, overwhelm, relationships, motivation, and life transitions with greater clarity and confidence. Most importantly, we give people permission to simply BE — to slow down, accept where they are, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with intention rather than pressure.

About me

I’m Barbara Newman—a Registered Psychotherapist, counselling psychologist by degree, and a doctorate candidate in performance improvement. I’m passionate about helping people heal, grow, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

Contact
Barbara helped me come out of a very dark place. After my car accident, I felt like there was no future for me. I kept searching for my old self—but together, we found the real me.
